The “Excellence in Paediatrics” conference will take place in Florence, Italy, December 3-6, 2009. The organizers report that this is an international annual conference presenting the latest, most insightful and authoritative overview of key developments in pediatrics. The aim of the Scientific Committee is to provide a truly international event of high scientific value. The Scientific Committee of Excellence in Paediatrics is comprised of the editors of internationally acclaimed Paediatric Journals and Books published by Wiley-Blackwell. Excellence in Paediatrics will bring together more than 70 internationally renowned confirmed speakers from 20 countries. The scientific program comprises more than 75 exciting sessions: lectures, round tables debates, interactive and meet-the –experts sessions, workshops etc, among which 2 sessions organised by Harvard Medical School.
On December 3 the Cochrane Child Health Field and the European Paediatric Association (EPA/UNEPSA) co-organize the “Evidence Based Medicine and Child Nutrition”, a special one-day event which will focus on children’s nutrition and particularly the ongoing challenge to help health practitioners acquire the necessary skills to integrate evidence based medicine into their day to day practice.
