Social disparities, family obesity, the role of television and video games, effective weight-loss programs, bariatric surgery, and ethical issues are also among chapter topics.
Two forewords are written by Dr. Kimberlydawn Wisdom, Surgeon General of the State of Michigan and Dr. Sheila Gahagan, President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
