Announcing availability of Research Support Services

Research Support Services are available for members of the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development to provide assistance with:

  • Proposed research projects.
  • Research study design.
  • Data management and data analysis.
  • Review of research proposals and manuscripts.

Other services may include:

  • Identifying funding agencies for research projects
  • Assistance with gaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval
  • Research training seminars for residents and faculty
  • Identifying other researchers and laboratories for collaboration on research projects

Guidelines for utilizing RSS may differ based on project deadlines and at what phase of the project contact is established. Courtesy, however, is requested a s consultants will potentially have numerous project deadlines therefore a reasonable amount of time to complete any task is required. These deadlines and expectations will be established and maintained over a series of meetings.

  • Meeting 1: Clearly define project needs as well as deadlines
  • Meeting 2: Establish a timeline and list of expectations for both parties
  • Meeting 3: Follow-up at midway point of project completion to review what has been accomplished and what still needs to be completed. Discuss finalizing, formatting etc.

If your particular research area of interest is not listed, consultants are still available to assist you as much as possible and if needed can cooperate with other individuals on campus to help with your project needs.
