Description: The Departmental Research Seminars occur at mid-day on the first Wednesday of each month except for January, July and August. The seminars are designed to highlight work being done in this department, other departments of the College of Human Medicine and University as a whole that relate to Child Health. Occasionally we invite outside speakers. The intent is to keep our faculty in touch, not only with our own department’s research, but with research projects undertaken by the wider University community. In this way we aim to create possibilities for collaborative research across departments and colleges. The seminars are informal in format with 40 to 50 minutes given to the presentation and the following 15 to 20 minutes for discussion. Refreshments are generally not provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own lunches.
