Faculty

Pediatrics buildingsFaculty development and growth is a very important part of the culture within the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, the College of Human Medicine and Michigan State University. Each new faculty member is assigned two mentors either within or outside the Department, and those on tenure track are entered into a more formal mentorship program at the College level. Each faculty member also undergoes an Annual Review with the Chair each year following evaluation by an Advisory Committee on Annual Review to discuss past year performance as well as to plan changes that could enhance the faculty member’s career during the following year. Several opportunities exist for faculty development within the College and University with the links that are noted below along with various resources for research, teaching and administration:

Alumni

Alumni of the MSU College of Human Medicine often ask how they can support the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at their alma mater, or they wonder how to keep in touch with classmates who also chose a career in Pediatrics. There are several opportunities for alumni involvement and connection.
