Pediatrics & Human Development Division of General Pediatrics faculty treat children and adolescents in the greater Lansing area. Our clinics at Sparrow Hospital and Michigan State University Clinical Center provide family-centered, coordinated to children of all stripes, particularly those with complex medical, behavioral, or mental health problems.

As a University practice, the Pediatrics & Human Development Division of General Pediatrics has developed a reputation for caring for children with complex health problems. All of our physicians are clinically active and work together to serve a diversepopulation of infants, children, and adolescents. Approximately 50% of our patient encounters are covered by Medicaid or a Medicaid HMO. We have nevertheless remained financially viable, and our physicians and clinical staff take great pride in their continued ability to bring quality health care to children and families of all income strata.

In addition to their clinical duties, our physicians strive to transform primary care pediatrics through research and education. When not treating patients, we develop, implement, and evaluate new ways to deliver care to children and pass on what we have learned to the next generation of pediatricians.
