Why did you choose the MSU/Sparrow Pediatric Residency Program?

I wanted to train at a medium sized program where I would work closely with attendings and subspecialists. My decision has not let me down! Working closely with so many tremendous subspecialists from MSU and University of Michigan has developed close personal relationships that have become invaluable to my training. Additionally, the level of autonomy has been amazing. The best part of this program is the family atmosphere within the program.

What do you like most about living in Michigan?

The close proximity to the Lakes and so many outdoor activities. I love being able to drive a little over an hour and hike to a secluded beach. Michigan in the Fall is amazing!

What do you like most about living in Lansing?

Being directly situated in the middle of the state is amazing. You can travel to Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lake Michigan in roughly an hour. Additionally, Lansing has some amazing breweries and restaurants. The fall here is my favorite with all the sporting events on MSU’s beautiful campus.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with my wife and our two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. GoPackers!!

What are your career goals?

Plan on pursuing NICU Fellowship.
