Education

The Department of Pediatrics and Human Development provides and participates in high quality and innovative training of medical students, interns, residents, fellows, and graduate students.

Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine is a community-based medical school which means clinical practice, undergraduate and graduate medical education, and research takes place across seven campuses through affiliations with local hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers. To learn more about our diverse and unique training experiences please go to campuses. Our campuses are located in Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Midland, Traverse City, and the Upper Peninsula.

Within each campus, pediatric clerkships are offered at our partner hospitals and educational institutions for third and forth year medical students under a common curriculum.

Pediatric residency programs are available in Flint, Grand Rapids, and Lansing should you decide to continue your career in pediatrics. Fellowship programs exist in Lansing (neonatology) and Grand Rapids (hematology-oncology and nephrology).

Take a tour of Michigan State University's main campus. Visit one of the most beautiful university campuses in the country.
