The physicians of the Department of Pediatrics & Human Development’s Division of Neonatology care for our youngest and most vulnerable patients. Operating a state-of-the-art, 35-bed, level-3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) from Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital, our team of neonatologists, fellows, and health care professionals treat five hundred to six hundred infants requiring acute and complex interventions every year.

The Division of Neonatology also offers a fully-credited three-year Fellowship Training Program in neonatal and perinatal medicine, and maintains an active research program working in close collaboration with the Michigan State University departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, and Physiology.
