Why did you choose the MSU/Sparrow Pediatric Residency Program?

Sparrow had a very systematic way of planning interviews, which gave me an idea of how systematic the program would be. Also, the program caters to widely diverse populations, and also offers various subspecialty rotations, providing a rich exposure to the interns.

What do you like most about living in Michigan?

The beautiful weather in different seasons!

What do you like most about living in Lansing?

I love the pleasant parks and lakes around the city. I am also enjoying meeting new people and exploring a culture completely different from my own.

What are your hobbies?

Printmaking (woodcut and linocut); Numismatics; Antique collection especially traditional Indian utensils; Cooking; Cycling; Swimming

What are your career goals?

I look forward to pursuing a fellowship, but haven't given it great thought yet, because my priority during residency would be to have a good exposure of various subspecialties, to enable me to have a clear vision regarding which niche area I can pursue further. As a pediatrician, I see myself serving the underserved population, and would like to explore various avenues for that.
